MLI Purposes
“This is a faithful saying: If a man desires the position of a bishop, he desires a good work... And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” 1 Timothy 3:1 & 2 Timothy 2:2
Goal: To train men (Leaders In Training, LIT), both locally and globally (and specifically at this time Kenya and Uganda) to be Biblical servant-minded leaders with a comprehensive theological knowledge.
Leaders: Life Coach & Mentor Dr. Mark Fisher has the general oversight of the MLI program. Pastor Peter Lukoye along with his local MLI administrators has oversight of the MLI program in Eldoret and Kaimosi, Kenya; and Pastor Fred Musungu has oversight of the MLI program in Lira, Uganda. Each local leader and board members are approved church leaders in their local church communities.
Biblical Training: The Bible courses equate to approximately 30 credit hours, equaling that of a college level leadership certification program. Each Bible course is taught with an emphasis on leadership, and may have varying learning formats. The local leaders do have the freedom to emphasize or add various truths of the scriptures that are pertinent to their church situation.
All lectures and study materials will be posted on the website. The LIT will be required to attend at least 80% of the class meetings for each course. Attendance will be taken by the leader or facilitator and submitted.
Academic and Hands-on Training: The LIT would be required to complete a sensible amount of academic work, but the greater portion of responsibility would be involvement in ministries in which they feel called, upon the approval and under the supervision of the ministry leaders.
